  • Openness Factor: The amount of open space in the material versus the amount closed or the density of weave (percentage of total surface area of fabric that is open). Selecting the proper density is affected by the sun exposure (east, west, north, south), whether the view is obstructed (by trees or other buildings), the type of glass, the sensitivity of the end user or the activity performed in the area.
  • Solar Reflectance: The percentage of the amount of solar energy that is reflected or bounced off the solar screen fabrics to the total amount of solar energy falling on the shade. RS measures the percentage of solar energy reflected by the fabric. The greater the RS factor the more infrared heat caused by the sun’s rays you will repel away from the window glass that normally would have increased the interior temperature.
  • Solar Absorptance: Solar absorptance is a measure of the amount of solar energy that passes into a material. It is defined as the ability of a material to absorb short-wave visible light. Solar absorptance relies on color, no matter what material you use. Dark materials have a higher solar absorptance and will absorb more solar energy. Choosing lighter colored shades will reduce the amount of heat energy entering into your home, leading to lower energy bills and increased thermal comfort
  • Visible Light Transmittance: Measures glare. The number is a ratio of the amount of the total visible solar energy that passes through the glass and solar screen fabrics combined. Light colors have high VT factor - Dark colors have lower VT factor. In simple terms this means that lighter colors will produce a brighter interior glare/glow than darker colors do. If you want to make it darker during the day - choose darker colors.

Standard Lift System
The Standard Roller is the traditional shade design. The fabric rolls from either the back of the roller (standard) or from the front (reverse roll) to conceal the hardware. A metal roller is used to support the weight of the fabric and increase durability. A beaded cord, which is available in colors black or white, raises and lowers the shade.
Bottom Rail
Standard Bottom Rail
All Envision Roller Shades feature a unique bottom rail design. The shade fabric is wrapped around an elliptical grooved rail. Two plastic end caps secure the fabric in place. The result is an attractive look which enhances the overall appearance of the shade. Bottom rails paired with the UltraSleek and Cassette Head Rails are white (standard) or black (upon request) beneath the fabric wrap and have clear end caps. Envision Shades built with Standard Roller Head Rails feature bottom rails and end caps which are either white or black to match the clutches and/or bead cords.

The Cassette Headrail is white and includes a matching fabric strip. The shade is raised and lowered by a beaded cord in colors black or white. The Cassette Headrail has an integrated reverse roll stop.

The UltraSleek Head Rail is white aluminum with a matching fabric insert strip and low light gap. Does not have integrated reverse roll stop.

Reverse Roll
Reverse Roll No Charge
The fabric on a standard roller shade rolls off the back of the roll towards the window. With reverse roll the fabric rolls off the front of the shade concealing the roller.

All EcoGreen roller shades employ the continuous cord loop clutch lift system. As a result there will be an approx. 3/4" light gap on each side of the shade to ensure proper fit and function.

Shades less than 72" wide use a 1-5/8" diameter tube and it requires a minimum sill depth of 2-1/2" for a flush inside mount.

Shades 72" wide and above use the 2" diameter tube and it requires a minimum sill depth of 3" sill for a flush inside mount.

Important Notes:

  • Envision Roller Shades with the Cassette Roller may be side mounted using brackets. An additional 2" will be taken off the standard inside mount deduction to allow room for the brackets. Maximum width allowed is 48"
  • Roller Shades Stack Height: The stack height varies based on the size of the roller shade and fabric thickness. The normal estimation is anywhere from 2-5 inches.
  • DO NOT take your own deductions as the factory will take the necessary deductions to ensure that the fabric does not rub against the lift mechanism and brackets.

Cleaning & Care
EcoGreen fabrics are easy to maintain by an occasional vacuuming with a soft brush attachment or washing with mild soap. Soak a sponge or damp cloth with the soapy solution and gently wipe or blot the stain from the fabric. Allow the shade to air dry completely before raising.
