Shopping Tip: The Openness percentages provided below represent the amount of open and/or closed space in the material or more appropriately, the density of the weave. A high percent is a fabric with a more open weave that offers a greater view out (dark colors) and allows more light to penetrate the fabric to illuminate the interior. A small percent is a fabric with a more dense weave that offers greater UV protection and greater solar reflectance with increased privacy, but doesn't do much in terms of maintaining the view out.
